Happy 2nd Birthday Reed!!!

Happy Birthday to my favorite guy in the whole wide world!! Mommy baked cookies for school and they were a hit. Daddy isn't home this week to celebrate so we are putting it on hold for the weekend when he gets back. But here he is going to bed tonight on his second birthday....he is such a big boy. Where did the last 2 years go????


The cookies...hey at least I tried!! They are supposed to be shaped in the number '2'.

Lots of Stuff

So, for those who don't know, Steven has been gone for the past two weeks with Army training. It's just been me and kiddies all by ourselves. With Reed's party coming up, I wanted to get the rooms situated. I didn't do anything with the nursery before Lilly was born. Since we didn't know if we were having a boy or girl I decided to just wait and see when he/she was born. Well, even though we have a baby girl, I still decided to put her and Reed in a room together. With Steven being overseas next year, I kinda figured having a guest room was important. So, I enlisted the help of my dad and Darlene (PawPaw and Mimi) last weekend. We moved the old guest bedroom into the smaller room and the nursery/kid's room into the big room. Dad brought with him the toy box that Grandpa Hun built for Reed. Grandpa Hun is Reed's great-grandpa (Darlene's dad). I think he did an incredible job!!!! Here are pics of the room....

In the midst of the room, Reed had a Birthday party to go to for his buddy at school, Ethan. Ethan lives around the corner and is 2 weeks older than Reed. They have been in daycare together since day one and are so cute together. As you can see, I have the BIG kid! Ethan is and has always been a little peanut...but he can stand his ground when he has too...







Hmm...next....Oh, Lilly got her ears pierced last week. Was not bad at all....just like a little round of shots. She cried a little, but she was a trooper and she looks so pretty with her 'diamonds' in.

See....no big deal...barely any tears at all.


Isn't she so beautiful!!!! Anywho....one more post coming for my baby's birthday...then off the bed.

Here we are...

So, I started this blog many months ago to start posting videos of Reed for the grandparents to see. However, life got the best of me and here I am with nothing on here! So, it's my pledge to start really using this. Not only for videos but also for pictures and other cute stuff the babies (cause now we have Lilly too) are doing. I think this will also be a great way for Steven to keep up with us while he is overseas next year. And, here we are....

• Erin aka Mommy - I work full time as a CPA, member of the Junior League of Lafayette, and I love my family more than anything!
• Steven aka Daddy - He works full time as an attorney, in school to get his LLM in Taxation, and JAG officer in the LA Nat'l Guard. He is deploying in January for the year.
• Reed Alexander - Reed is our first baby. He was born on July 27, 2007. He is such a sweet and loving little boy but he is definetly a boy!! He keeps us on our toes.
• Lillian Grace - Lilly is our newest addition. She was born April 28, 2009. She is such a good and easy baby with a very calm temperment.
