Today we had Lilly's 4 month check up with shots. She weighed a whopping 15 pounds (77% in weight). She was 80% in height and 88% in head circumference. She is not quite as big as Reed was at this point but very close. Lilly is right where she needs to be developmentally too. She is cooing and laughing all the time. Of course she is also getting in that stage where she wants you to pay attention to her all the time....and with a very demanding big brother, well, needless to stay she doesn't always get her way!
Reed is getting big too. He was in 90% plus in all his measurements at his 2 year check up last month. He's already wearing size 3T clothes and he has HUGE feet (already wearing a size 9). He talks CONSTANTLY which I hear from my mother in law that Steven was the same way....and the talking never ends. He sings all the time and has Twinkle Twinkle Little Star down packed. He tries his ABC's and is sometimes successful. He knows his colors really well too and is picking up shapes very quickly. And, as you can see, mom thinks Reed is SUPER smart and SUPER cute too!!
Steven had his eye surgery last week and seems to have healed well. His vision in his left eye is great and his right eye is still coming along but getting better every day. He has a long eye drop schedule over the next 3 months but so far so good. He's back into the swing of things with school but only taking the first 1/2 of the semester since he has so much Army training coming up. His plan is to maybe take some classes when he is deployed and finish up when he returns in 2011. We will be so glad when school is over.
Nothing new with me....just working and taking care of these babies. They are tiring but so so so wonderful to have in our lives!! We are so lucky to have beautiful and healthy children.
