Happy Halloween!!!!

Well, we had a great Halloween. Maw Maw Kathy and Paw Paw Ronnie came in early today. We took Reed to the Pumpkin Patch again and spent some good quality family time together. After nap time, Maw Maw Lisa came over too. Then we got ready for Trick or Treat! Reed was a monkey and Lilly was a banana....how cute!!

My whole neighborhood sits outside in their driveways to hand out candy. There are tons of kids around so it is alot of fun. Paw Paw Ronnie handed out most of the candy. Mommy, Daddy, Reed, Lilly and Maw Maw Lisa went on the first block of trick or treating. Then, we came home and Maw Maw Kathy came with us for the second block. After that, we were pooped so we all went back home to finish handing out candy.

After trick or treating we came in and had dinner. Reed had tons of fun and Lilly was cute as can be. Holidays are so much more fun with kiddies around! Here are some pics to enjoy.

Lilly had lots of fun dressed as a banana!

And Reed had fun as the monkey.

Here is Reed with his best bud Ethan (the dragon). Parker (in the back) is Ethan's big brother and Ben is the cowboy on the side. Ethan and Reed have been in school together since day one.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!

...and that was just through Saturday!

Then on Sunday, we drove to Amite to meet my mom for lunch and a visit to the pumpkin patch before a birthday party that afternoon. We made it to the patch but it wasn't quite what I thought it would be so we just did lunch instead. After lunch we still had some time to kill so we went shopping for Reed to get 'prizes'. Then it was time for Hallie's Birthday party. Reed had a blast sliding all day only to take a break for some cake of course!

I got to visit with some of the girls too so that is always great.

Here is the birthday girl, Hallie!

That's Ashley, Beth's little girl who is 20 months old.

There is Reed sliding....he loved it!

Beautiful family...

There is Leslie and Olivia....I told Olivia to smile and I got a half wink/smirk face. Leslie....you are so in trouble when she grows up! I love it!

There is cutie Ashley again...

Reed swinging with Olivia and having so much fun. Olivia had fun too...she needs a baby brother to boss around ;)

Yea, Lilly was there too and just having fun taking it all in.

"No Mommy! No go home!"....and then there was a major breakdown. Needless to say he slept the whole way home.

Whew....I am just pooped posting about it. Night!

Busy weekend....

This past weekend we did lots of fun stuff. We (me, Reed, and Lilly) went to New Orleans. Steven was off doing the Army thing so he couldn't join the fun.

We spent some time with paw paw and Mimi Friday. Saturday, Darlene aka Mimi and I took the kiddos shopping, then to the craft fair at St. Clement of Rome, and then to lunch at Sake Cafe...YUM! We planned on the pumpkin patch too but it was packed and we needed to get the babies home to nap before our night. Here are some pics just cause they looked cute.

Big Hugs!

There's Mimi!

So after naps, we got ready for Christina (my cousin) and Craig's wedding. Here's Reed almost dressed playing the harmonica.

We successfully made it through the mass and then it was party time! Reed and his cousin Paige were WILD!! They danced and ran and danced and ran all night long. You can see the D.J. laughing at them in the back.

So much fun!

Lilly was there too....but she stayed put. Note the cute (and big) flower on her head...SO CUTE!

Somehow Reed got a hold of an umbrella after the second line. And then it was more running...

More to come from our fun weekend in the next post......

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend we had a fun family filled afternoon on Saturday. We took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch, then to dinner, then to see Kung Fu Panda (Reed's favorite movie) at Movies in the Parc (you bring your chairs and watch a movie in one of the local parks here.) We had a great time. Then we (well, Steven really) spent the last two nights digging out pumpkins and carving our little family.

Running through the maze

And here is the end result...mommy, Lilly, Reed, and Daddy pumpkins. Can you tell Reed was excited??

And so you ask...what will they be for Halloween??? Well, the costumes are in, they fit, and are SUPER cute....Reed is a monkey and Lilly is a banana! I'll post pics as soon as I get them.

Acadiana Zoo

We are proud members of the Acadiana Zoo. Probably some of the best $$$ we spent in a long time. The membership is a bargain and we go all the time. It is a perfect size for Reed to be able to run through and play. Here are some pics from a recent visit.

Parks and Tractors

So, we go to parks alot. Reed loves them and so does Daddy. So here are some pics from a park visit...

What Mommy? I don't want to stop to smile for the camera....

Lilly started to get mad that she wasn't in the action.....

So Daddy got her in the action...

Reed can seem to spot a tractor from the farthest distances when we are in the car. Most of the time I don't see even see what he is pointing out but at this point I know to believe he saw something. So of course he spotted the green tractor at the park. No one was around so we let him play...and he LOVED it!

And of course, Lilly gets a turn...

Not so much a tractor girl though =)
